The system I am familiar with,in Hearts of Iron 3,is when you capture all of a countries provinces,they are 'annexed' by your country and it no longer shows that country to exist on the Diplomacy screen. However,almost a year has passed since I have captured them,and it still states that the provinces are only occupied,and Granada still exists on the Diplomacy menu.
